Welcome Ministry

One of our missions here at St. John Neumann Parish is to show genuine friendliness to the stranger in our midst. Whenever we go to a strange land, be it a few miles away or across the sea, one of the first impressions we form is how we are greeted by those who already live there. God’s house should be a dwelling place of comfort, peace, and feel like home. God’s children are responsible for making our new brothers and sisters in Christ happy to be among us and to know that they are welcome. A smile when entering church, a hand shake, a kind word says a lot. We extend all of these by reaching out and saying “Welcome, we are so happy to have you in our family”. It is amazing what a simple telephone call can do.
