++ EUCHARISTIC ADORATION ++
The Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration
St. John of God Chapel, 680 Townbank Road, North Cape May
Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Jesus welcomes you into this chapel for praise, petition, adoration and prayers of thanksgiving. New to this experience for you will be the invitation to come closer. If you are the first to enter here, come to the Tabernacle, and open wide the circular golden doors, the come and pray with Him.
If you are the last to be here, please close these golden circular doors. The next person will have the invitation to repeat these procedures.
People new to Eucharistic Adoration often wonder what to do. It is important to remember that the quality of your devotion is not measured by the amount of time spent in Adoration but by your intention. Ten minutes on your lunch break can be truly fulfilling. If you are able to devote more time, perhaps these suggestions will help. First, ask our patron St. John Neumann to pray for you as you pass by his statute. Pray set prayers like the Rosary, open a missalette and read, sing a favorite hymn to yourself. Don't get discouraged, your intent and presence in church is itself a prayer, pleasing to God; don't worry, no one is checking up on you...it's not a sin to doze. Feel free to walk around the chapel and reflect on one or two of the Stations of the Cross. Upon leaving, thank God for a good and holy time. If you have time for a sixtyminute devotion, a prayer plan is available in the church office.
